Greetings from Pet Corner! This month we feature a very special King Charles Spaniel named Murphy. He is nine months old lives with his humans, Freddy and Alix in Noe Valley. Murphy gave a good sit and told me all about his world. Enjoy!

How did you meet Freddy and Alix?

One day I was hanging with my brothers and sisters and Freddy and Alix came to visit and took me for a ride in Freddy's convertible. When I got to their house, it was so much fun. There were so many new things to smell and I found the best napping spot, on Freddy's head. I knew I didn't want to leave so they adopted me!

What do you love about living in Noe Valley?

Noe Valley is the best neighborhood for dogs! I love walking around on 24th street with my humans, meeting all the fun new people, getting pets and treats from all the shops and restaurants.

Murphy, how would you describe your perfect weekend?

I love doing anything and everything outside. Whether it is going up to Bolinas to run on the beach and watch my dad surf or heading to Duboce Park for some fetch and park lounging, I am always up for an adventure.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Ireland. I have family there and I would love to go there and meet them someday. I've also heard Ireland has lots of great fields to run and play in.

How many times have you heard the words, “Good boy”? Why do you think Freddy says it, what does it mean?

Treats!!!!!!

If you were stuck on an Island with only three toys, what would they be?

My ball, crawfish and the rug in our living room...

What is one of your most embarrassing memories?

I love chasing my tail. One time I forgot where I was and fell off the couch while chasing it.

One of your fondest memories?

One weekend my parents took me to Dillion Beach. It was my first time at the beach and it was the best! I loved playing in the waves and digging in the sand. I ate too much sand though and my stomach hurt afterwards.

If you could meet any dog in the world, who would it be and why?

Zelda, Seth Rogan's dog. She's awesome and knows how to chill hard and go on adventures.

Do you have a lot of friends or just a few really good friends?

I have a bunch of really good friends. My best friend is another Cav named Theo. I also hang out with Greta, who's kind of my girl friend. My good friend Pacman the Frenchie just moved to New York and I miss him a lot! I also have the best cousins, Elvis, Wee-Bey and Grey to play with.

Where are your favorite places to visit in Noe Valley?

I love making trips to Upper Douglass Dog Park for some fetch and adventures in the forest. Walking down 24th Street is always the best when we stop by Noe Valley Wine Shop because they have the best treats. And if I am really good dog that day, we stop by Noe Valley Pet Company for a new toy. I also love sitting outside Saru Sushi and Novy when my humans are eating because people pet me when I'm there.
